Oh Christmas fabrics and projects tempt me….
putting this tree skirt together….love, love Figgy Pudding!!
So if one is good….
two is better….right?? So now I am stuck….how would you quilt these??
This week’s giveaway….what do you see?? Happy Sewing!
ps – there are new destash items in my shop plus some new Christmas items….
I love your new tree skirts!! I think I would hand quilt the inside of each triangle and then the white just outside of each triangle and the inside, but you know me….my machine doesn’t quilt very nicely. I’m sure whatever you do will look amazing!!
They’re both lovely! I would echo the seam lines, I think!
I would handstitch around the triangles in red and the inside of the triangles in white
Great tree skirts Brooke!
Figgy Pudding is new to me – who’s it by??
I just got a Christmas lap quilt back from the quilter and it had Hollyberries and leaves on it very nice look and it would look good on your tree skirt too maybe some in the middle and echo quilt on the outside.
I love the tree skirts. I thought nothing to could to the first one, until I saw the second one. I am not much help in the quilting department! Snowflakes???
I love your tree skirts! How about straight lines 1/4″ of either side of the triangle seams?
I love Mama trees idea, snowflakes! Lovely projects make for a lovely scrap pile
love that
Your tree skirts are very pretty. I would echo quilt each triangle and maybe quilt snowflakes in the center as someone above mentioned. I spy a potholder? And some Kate Spain fabric.
You skirts are very pretty. I agree with the snowflakes quilting or maybe some stars. Do I see a mug rug? I know I see pretty fabrics and maybe a pattern?
One of these days I have to make a tree skirt and I do love your pattern (although, quite honestly I am nervous about triangles). Anyway, since I am a hand-quilter, I would echo stitch each shape one half inch in (does that make sense??).. not as fancy as snowflakes or stars but aren’t all those presents going to cover the skirt anyway?!
Love the tree skirts…they are gorgeous!
I see Sweetwater!
Thanks for a fun giveaway!
Julie
Love it! They are so lovely.
I saw a lovely coaster
Lovely tree skirts! I think I would quilt straight lines or concentric triangles in the triangle pieces and something swirly in the white parts.
Something swirly and twirly, I think!
These are so lovely. I’m not sure I would quilt these. If I did, it would be very simple…just along the seams.
Lovely tree skirtsn., I mean to make one every year but never get around to it. I think I would quilt will a holly leaf pattern all over. I do see some pretty scraps in christmas colours. Thanks for the giveaway.

Love the skirts! I guess I’d go around the seam lines of the triangles too and maybe some swirly stuff in between?? I’m not very creative. I usually do straight lines with my small machine, too. I can’t wait to see how you finish them.
Love the tree skirts! I’d quilt each triangle with concentric triangles and something fab & graphic in the centre. I’ll be waiting to see your choice!
I agree – echo the seams – straight lines. It is going to be covered up with presents anyway – right? They are both beautiful and I see you have a Basic Grey obsession too! Their lines are awesome!
I would do some simple straight line stitching – either a grid or diamond about an inch or so. The idea is to make the tree skirt durable, as it will be covered with the presents and needs to be sturdy.
The tree skirts are beautiful. I am not a very accomplished quilter, but I’m practicing. I might try a tree shape in each of the triangles and then straight line the outside white edges to radiate out.
