Today I thought I would share a couple of projects that may never leave finished. Sometimes that happens, and sometimes often!! So this above project I started last Friday. I saw the project on Sew Mama Sew’s blog and thought it looked cute, but……now I am not too sure if I will finish it. Any takers??
My other flop of the week – a Stitch in Color idea – not!!! It was a week where the ideas in my head just didn’t play out like I planned. This was going to be a cool pillow, at least in my mind!! So off to a new idea…..
This bundle of Happiness is the giveaway for the week. Here’s to some happiness for each of us!!

I’d like the first one… everyone does have different tastes and that fabric is sooooo pretty!!
Everyone has some of “those” projects that just don’t turn out how we envisioned. Recently I made a table runner that I finished all but the binding and I was so disappointed with it that I just threw it in the trash! That was a first for this “waste not” girl. I do love the bundle of Happiness fabrics and would be thrilled to win some Happiness!
I love the first and last sets! They are both beautiful!
Awwww Brooke, you’re so silly!!! The first one looks adorable and I think the second would look cute on a pillow!!!! I know what you mean about stuff not turning out how you envisioned it. That’s usually how all of my projects turn out when I’m not following a pattern and even if I am following one LOL!!!!!
I love that fabric in the first set. What were you going to make? I also like the fabric in the giveaway. Thanks for having this giveaway.
I’d love to try any of these!!
I love the first set.what`s it?The fabrics are very nice.thanks for the giveaway.
Would love a little Happiness! Thanks for the chance to win!
Oh good! I’m glad I’m not the only one!!! Sometimes (ok, a LOT of the time) I over-think my designs, then they still surprise me when they’re finished!. I think its great that you admit it and move on! Some lucky gal (maybe guy?) is going to be a bit happier because of your flops, though, so it’s not a total loss 🙂
Wow, last week must have been a week of “that’s just not working the way I saw it in my head” for all of us. I’m working on a challenge quilt for my guild. We were given the focus fabric and the quilts will be donated to Project Linus. I found some fantastic “go withs” fabrics and planned on making a Nine Patch Pizzazz by Judy Sisneros but it was turning out SO BLUE. Just not interesting at all and very blah. So I cut the fabric I’d already cut a bit smaller and unsewed some of the nine patches and I’m making a double 4 patch. It’s turning out MUCH better. Thanks for the chance to win your giveaway.
I think we all have one of those days or weeks, I made a valentine table runner at the weekend, with some fabric I didn’t like but wanted to use up and not waste, I like it a little more now, but really it is not my taste or style, I bought the fabric on a whim, at least with it being a valentine runner I won’t use it often or for very long!
What a neat idea! I am drawn to the first 2 sets of fabrics. This could end up being even more fun than finishing them yourself! LOL
It is fun to try new things, even if they don’t work out!
I think both of your projects have major potential.
Well, I like the second project…it would be a really cute pillow…especially on those nice brown leather couches I have (hint, hint :)).
Love you! Keep up the good work!
Geez, I’m tempted. But last night, when I couldn’t find a flipping thing in my sewing room, I vowed I would not bring another thing into that room until I could put away everything I already have without having it fall back down! LOL!
I like the first set.
It is great to see that projects don’t always work out for quilters beside myself. I love the colors in all your phots. Thanks for sharing and for a chance at your giveaway.
Lovely fabrics!
Love them all. I do that all the time too.:)
Your second project looks neat & I love the colors of the Happiness bundle. 🙂 I’ve had many disasters too… Like the coin/card wallet I made that my credit cards wouldn’t fit in. 🙁
Our creativity doesn’t always work out like we want it to, but I think your “flops” look really great and worh finishing!! Loved your pillow in the newsletter today!!
i love love loved your pillow in the newsletter. i’m definitely going to give that one a go. i’m super curious to see your “flops” finished…i, too, have a few unfinished over there…
