good life and a giveaway!

Okay, so I’ll admit it – every time the Intrepid Thread gets new fabric in, I am there to check it out!  So this brand new line by Deena Rutter just had to come live at my house – love, love it!!

Since I love to play with a variety of fabrics in a line….I have taken to cutting a 2 and 2.5 inch strip from these fun collections like this one.

I then fussy cut these great blocks from the bottom of the panel.  I wanted to use them as the center of my project.

Here is how the first one turned out…

and the second one….a bit larger size…so much fun!!

This past week has been birthday week at our house….so this would illustrate the good life at my house!

The giveaway for this week has a bit of this and that….what lines do you see??  Off to enjoy the last month of summer….at least at our house!!

That is wonderful fabric. I can see why you jumped on it. I love the little centers of your mug rugs that you fussy cut. They are quite inspiring. I need to make me some smaller projects so I feel like I have accomplished SOMETHING!

I love your fussy-cut projects – the extra time and fabric are d=certainly worth it! I’m not sure what lines these fabrics come from, but I think they would make some wonderful hexie flowers for my WIP. Thanks for the chance!

Oh my word, I am off right now to look at this fabric. I adore the panel that you cut up and feel a ‘need’ for it. Your mats are adorable. O.K., can I admit that I am rubbish a tspotting fabric lines, so my answer is that I just fab stripes and pretty curly lines!

I really like the panel from A Good Life. It worked out perfectly for your mug rugs. Wish I were there to have some of those birthday celebration “fixings.”
RE: the scraps, I recognize a polka dot that looks like Sunkissed but am drawing a blank on the others. Thanks for the fun today.

Wow! I love your fussy cut mug rugs. I’m not really good at identifying fabric lines, so I won’t embarrass myself by guessing wrong. I do love the fabric you chose. The colors are gorgeous. Thanks for the giveaway.

I’ve never done any fussy cutting; you make me want to try.

We all know I am horrible at identifying fabrics so I won’t try. I seem to love all you work with! Happy Stitching.

Love it, love it! The first thing I thought when I saw those squares was to put them in the centers of log cabins. Love what you did! Happy birthday to the kids! Yay for Leos!

That “Good Life” fabric looks so cute! You always have the great new fabrics! I looked at the giveaway pile and some looked familiar but the only ones I could name are the Silent Cinema prints. Seems there are so many fabric lines now that it’s hard to remember them all!
