designing and a giveaway….

Remember this box that arrived at my house with supplies for a baby quilt?

I decided to cut some fabric into a few different size strips and then some fabric into squares.

I cut the fuzzy fabric into some squares and rectangles.

So here is the beginning of my ideas…we will see where we go from here….

Here is the giveaway for this week…spy any yummies that appeal to you??  Happy sewing!

I see the potential for some hexies for my GFG quilt – love the florals and tonal prints too. The idea of having the touchable minky style fabric for the center of the baby quilt squares is totally awesome! Little ones love to feel texture.

Oh what a great idea putting the textured squares in a baby quilt! I’m thinking now it would be fantastic to put silk in a square, furry in one, bumpy in one, then a zebra print in one to have the visual difference for their eye development. My brain is a whirl with the possibilities. OH, and shiny fabric.. Now look what you have gone and done.. LOL

Your idea for fuzzy fabric in the center of the blocks is a good one. The scraps are looking good too; they would add sparkle in my mini bow tie scrap quilt! Thanks for the chance to win them. Happy Sewing.

I like where you are going with the fuzzy fabric, and I am impressed that you are sewing it to non-fuzzy fabric. That is never easy!
