bag making wip – link up! + giveaway

well, the summer mayhem is in full force…not getting to as much sewing as I would like…
but loving this time with my kids…it goes sooooooo fast!

bag making
so my first project with the Meriwether fabric is to make a bag…

bag making
I decided this would be the perfect project to try out the cork I purchased at market!
oh my goodness this product is a dream…
it cuts like butter…
sews super well…
the only smallish issue I had was with ironing it…that didn’t quite go as planned…

A little bag project in the works using #cork from @sewmanycreations fabric from @stitcherydickory #meriwetherfabrics @windhamfabrics what do you think?? Happy Thursday!

so I will leave you with this picture…
what do you think so far??

ohh I look forward to seeing your bag. look at those adorable kitties. I agree with summer. I tend not to sew as much during this time either. that is ok. I spend a lot of time with family and friends and that is sooo worth it all.
    have a great week.

I don’t know the line or the designer, but we like kitties in our house. Well actually, most of us do. We have one, our daughter has one, our granddaughter had 2, lost both just recently, our other granddaughter has two. Nuff about that. Love the idea of cork for a bag. I haven’t seen it in the stores yet, but our nearest big quilt store is 150 miles away. I’ll keep an eye out for it, though.

Bag makings one of my favourite things to do, much quicker than quilts too. Saying that I tend to master a style and then make several of them as presents, so I get a lot of practise with one design at a time. The giveaway charms are very sweet. x

Lovely bag project! The cork looks good but is it sturdy enough for the handles? Cute fabric bundle and no idea about the line or the designer,….
