A dear friend of mine made her first quilt from this fabric! Used a couple of complementary blues and greens and used basic squares. Nothing beats that sweet Winnie the Pooh. Congratulations!!

oh what wonderful fabric. because the fabric is busy, i would add solids so as not to detract from it all. this is going to be a sweet baby quilt. cant wait to see it. one of my sister in laws is a Disney fanatic, especially with Eeyore. I was thinking of making her a pillow with a big Eeyore face on the front (paper pieced). This top picture would be fabulous for the back. thank you for sharing. oh, where did you order the fabric? if you don’t mind me asking?

A new baby, how exciting! Congrats! The pink lightning bolt fabric catches my eye in the scraps.

Congratulations! The fabric is so cute – nothing better than the hundred acre woods w/ winne the pooh. would do some bigger blocks to show off the fabric as its busy but fun!

Oh, so sweet! Congratulations!! I agree that a simple quilt with just squares or rectangles and then you can build around them using solids or dots or whatever you like to focus attention on the charming Winnie and friends center patches. Stars would be snazzy, but for a baby it doesn’t have to be fancy. You’ll be able to spread this out on the grass in the summer and set your tiny boy on it for tummy time. Such fun.

Maybe something like a square in a square quilt, starting with a 5″ square in the center of each block and building from there. Each 5″ could showcase a cute Winnie the Pooh image. Frame the 5″ in 1.5″ cream (or any solid) strips, then add a 2.5″ border in your Winnie the Pooh fabric. This makes a 11″ block. Connect using the 1.5″ cream strips. Hope this makes sense! Congratulations!

Very cute baby fabric for the quilt. I agree with the suggestion to add in some solids. Love love the scraps.

A row quilt. Row of Winnie print, row of pieced blocks (honey pot? Bee?) Alternate rows til you have the length you need.

Congratulations! My son and his wife are expecting a baby girl in mid April, our first grandbaby. I am so excited!

Congratulations! Grandsons are so great! i’d fussy cut the Winnie the Pooh prints! i think Polaroid blocks are a lot of fun. You only need 2 1/2 inch squares for the “picture” or double the size judging from your character size..
