cutting fabric with my cricut – wip link up! + giveaway

hello Wednesday!

cutting fabric with my cricut
so today I am back to talk again about my amazing Cricut….
if you have missed my other posts about this machine, you can read about them here
and just to be clear….I am an affiliate for Cricut, but this post contains my own opinions and experiences…

cutting fabric with my cricut
this project was another of the ready to make projects on Cricut’s Design Space program…
since I am not a fan of cutting out applique pieces, I was thrilled to see how easy this project was!
I am in love with the ease of making quick projects…

cutting fabric with my cricut
here is another project I did with bonded fabric…
here you can see a close up of the machine and where the blade and pen holder is…

cutting fabric with my cricut
in this photo you see how the Cricut preps and cuts your project…

cutting fabric with my cricut
so this was another experiment with fabric snowflakes…
these are all made with fabric that had iron on web so I could use them as applique pieces…
I learned a few things…
the first ones I made were awesome, but not good it you are appliqueing them!
I finally found some more simple snowflakes and am excited to use them in my project!

cutting fabric with my cricut
now my next few projects have produced even more excitement at my house…
being able to cut fabric without prep!!
what??!!!
yep, I took this piece I had purchased, cut it to the width and length of the mat – 12 inches by 24 inches…
smoothed it on and cut out my pieces for an upcoming project!!!
sweet!!
so just think about this if you experience any wrist pain or have trouble pressing down when using a rotary cutter…
I know I am just barely scratching the surface, but I am so excited with all the possibilities!!

OK, this is going to be a lot of fun to see. I was waiting to see how this machine did with fabric and it turned out great. I was wonder about the fabric and if you put it in normally or with a bond/transfer sheet (you answered that). Curious to see what you make with this – you could really make some nice detailed landscape quilting!

Those did great! Have you cut any using Heat-n-Bond lite on the back? I use that for appliques and cutting fabrics for an applique quilt. This would be much faster!
