Do you have a favorite Local Quilt Shop?
Since we have moved, I have been on the lookout for a new Local Quilt Shop. This past week I headed up to New London to check out the Flying Goose Quilt Shop. Oh my goodness!!!! I can tell I will be back often! This is a wonderful shop with warm and friendly staff, lots and lots of fabric, books, thread and samples everywhere for inspiration. I am so glad it is only about fifteen minutes from my house – hooray!
So here is a photo of my purchases. I decided on these new fabrics from Kim Schaefer for both fall (can you believe it??) and winter. I couldn’t resist these Patriotic fabrics from the American Valor Fabrics, Quilts of Valor Foundation. I appreciate so much the men and women serving in the military – I currently have a nephew and a nephew-in-law (is there such a thing?? Well Peter is married to my niece!) and my brother served in the Navy.
I have already made some runners with these new fabrics! Click here to see them.

Went to your shop and saw all the new runners, they are wonderful. Sounds like this new shop will be tons of fun. Can’t wait to see it myself in the fall.
Those looks super Brooke!
Love the new fabrics, runners, and I’m SO happy that you’ve found a favorite new LQS!!! 🙂
15 minutes is an acceptable distance for a favorite shop. Glad you found it!
I have that black fabric with the coloured circles too!!!
