I hate to waste fabric with fussy cutting but in this case I think it has to be. I know you will come up with something great, and I hate to sound like a copy-cat but I think is says baby quilt also. How lucking you are to have the fat eighth bundle that works so well.

I envision a multicolored Irish chain with the animals in the neutral spots.

  10. Rita Long April 22, 2019 at 9:13 am #

Cute panel and fabric. It is so much like spring.

  11. Denise April 22, 2019 at 9:32 am #

The panel is so cute I’d hate to cut it up. I would probably add sawtooth or checker board border and or some flying geese.

  12. Lisa England April 22, 2019 at 10:04 am #

So many possibilities with those adorable fabrics! I would be inclined to feature the animals in the center of sawtooth star blocks, but really, you could hardly go wrong with these fabrics.

  13. Beth Talmage April 22, 2019 at 10:19 am #

My first thought was log cabins or courthouse steps with the animals in the center, but Janna’s Irish Chain idea is adorable! This is one of the reasons I love quilting–quilters inspiring other quilters, and so many options but rarely one “right” answer. Will this be for your little grandy?

Cut each animal out and surround with a wonky square. Then make a cute baby quilt.

That panel! Those coordinating fabrics! Wow!!! I know you’ll come up with something cute (and I can’t wait to see it!) I went to Africa last summer and spent 2 days on Safari. Now I’m totally smitten with anything having to do with lions, giraffes, zebra, hippos, elephants, etc etc.
