love a challenge – revealing…..

Remember this photo??  You can read more in this post.  So here are Becca, Tammy, Julie, myself, Vanessa, Joanna and Sally.
Remember this poem….

Hear ye, hear ye,
One and all.
Here’s the challenge,
Heed the call.
The 14th of February,
this Valentine’s hence,
a photo exchange,
6 participants.
Poor rhyming’s allowed,
just sew up your best.
Vanessa’s new line,
and solids the rest.
Email the group
by dawn of that day,
V & Company will post,
an internet soiree.
So here is my finished project…Color Me centerpiece.
Here were the 2.5 inch squares we were to work with…
I then used 3.5 x 5.5 inch Kona white rectangles and did magic corners on opposing corners like what is illustrated here.
I trimmed off the excess and ironed them like this.
In this picture you can see that I reversed my magic corners to make this fun design.
Once I had all my units pieced, I began sewing them together in twos in each row and then sewed the rows together.
I then decided to add some more of the 2.5 inch squares to each end….one end the lights and the other end the darks….
Since I decided to make a centerpiece, I pin basted my piece to a fun light green circle piece I had.
For quilting, I did some fun echo style lines…love the different effect!
Thanks so much Vanessa for the fun fabrics!  It has been the perfect project to work on this winter!  Happy Valentine’s Day to all and Happy Sewing!
