My quilting buddy just made a teddy bear with an old fur coat… she had issues during the process but her bear turned out very adorable. She’s planning to make more and I’m sure each one will be sweeter!

A friend recently lost her father and asked me to make memory bears for her grandchildren from his shirts. Se had distinct memories of his singing special songs to each of the children, and even had photos of him singing to each child. Barbara assigned shirts for each bear based on those photos and also asked me to embroider a line or two from the songs on the bears… a special project, to be sure! I posted a photo with my blog url, but it’s not on my blog…

No I have not done this. Sounds wonderful. I wish you luck, it will turn out adorable.
My grandmother took a lot of the clothes the five of us kids grew out of and made square patch quilts for us. All by hand. They are precious to have. The same with your bear will be. I look forward to watching it come together. Have a great week.
