I will announce a winner on Friday…
Happy Sewing!
wow, you have a lot of Boy Scout stuff!! I’ll be interested to see what you come up with.
If it turns out even half as nice as the last one you made, it will be great! All those patches wow! Your brights as beautiful.
You might turn those scarves into squares and do a patchwork type quilt, alternating with a block with a patch on it. It sure would be colorful!
I think I might try to make the middle of the front look like a Boy Scout shirt and put the patches on it. Then the scarves could be squares around it
oh fun another boy scout quilt. hmmm, i know when my son did his, getting all the scarves and patches had no rhyme. sooo, i would make the quilt with the scarves and patches not grouped but scattered so the eye and memory can go from one to the other.
ohh and i would make the scarves both squares and triangles. and on some of the solid pieces sew the patches
Whatever you decide I’m sure it will be great!
That is a lot of Boy Scout stuff! Good luck with the project.
Hmmm. . .have you thought about using a pattern like Turning Twenty or something similar that would give you structure but allow for some big pieces, like the scarves? You’d have to add in some other fabrics, but they would provide a background for the Boy Scout things and the patches could be sewn on to the smaller pieces. It would be great to find a khaki that’s close to the color of the Boy Scout shirts, with maybe a green and/or a navy. Just an idea! Good luck!
The fabrics look to be the start of a Spring quilt.
Nice bright colours… very Springy!!
Ohhhhhh-I have a husband and son who have a lot of patches too- I went back to your previous post to see what you did in the end -but- my idea is actually from someone else’s comment from the last post-and that would be to alternate scarves with red felt/style like fabric and put the patches on those.
I just love the colors and designs on your giveaway pieces!
Center the star chart, put the neck a chiefs around it. Then scatter the other patches over the blank parts of the neck a chiefs. Pretty giveaway.
You have a lot of items to work with! I have never tried a project with those items. Will be interesting to see your project evolve. Thanks for the opportunity to enter the giveaway.
Maybe you could make a checker board type arrangement with the leftover bits of the scarves, and place the patches on top of them. Kind of like checkers on a board. You could use the triangle parts of the scarves for a border.
That is a lot to figure out how to use.
Lots of treasures to incorporate in the quilt! I am sure you will dream up a great way to use all of them.
I love those bright colours in your giveaway
The fabrics are great and adding more brights to my stash is on my list. Thanks for the giveaway
