hello Wednesday!

trimming and binding
every. single. time. a quilt comes home from the quilter, I am amazed!
today was no exception…
this bright baby boy quilt looks so outstanding now that it is quilted!

in fact…I scrapped my other afternoon plans so that I could trim and get the binding sewn on this beauty…

stripped binding seemed to be the perfect choice…
now time for some handwork…

    Do you know what it reminds me of? Are you a cross-stitcher? I used to be, and I always reached a point, after I’d finished cross-stitching but before I’d done the outlining, when I thought the project looked fine and maybe I would skip the dark outlining this time. Then I would decide to go ahead, take the time, and outline the images. It was amazing the difference it made! It changed the whole image, took it to a completely new level. A quilt top undergoes that same transformation once it is quilted.
