trying something new + giveaway

hello Monday!

trying something new
so today…my blog post will have a bit of a different twist to it…
I want to tell you a bit of a story…

trying something new
I started this blog in late January of 2009, one year after my brother passed away…
he would have been so proud of me as he was quite the cutting edge technology guy!
blogging was the rage and I thought it would be fun to share my quilting passion…

trying something new
then in September of 2009, I opened my etsy shop
I had lots of encouragement to begin selling my pieces…
I had been making quilts and runners for gifts for family and friends…
but there is only so much you can give away as gifts, so opening up an online shop seemed like a great idea…
much more doable than attending lots of craft shows with little kids!

trying something new
my shop has done well and has been lots of fun!
so beginning today, I am offering a loyalty program of sorts…

trying something new
for every $40 spent in my etsy shop, I will enclose a $10 gift certificate toward your next purchase…
I wanted a simple way to express my appreciation of the support I have received over the years…

giveaway
and the giveaway for today…
spy something fun??
leave me a comment to enter…
I will announce a winner on Friday!

Happy Sewing!

ps – remember to stop back here on Friday with your finishes for the week!

I’m sure that I was following you from the beginning. I wrote down the names of blogs I wanted to check on regularly. Discovering how to “follow” was a game changer! Lol

I’m pretty new here so I was interested to know how and why you started blogging. Thank you for continuing. Loyalty programs are a great marketing tool, though I admit I hate them at the grocery store, lol.
    xx, Carol

Well that sounds like a great idea. So sorry to hear of the reason for starting the blog but I am very glad you did. Continued good luck with it. Not sure what the lines are on the fabric but that and the flowers are great.

Congratulations, your blog posts are very inspiring. You are right about selling online being so much easiet to do than attending fairs, especially if living in rural areas. I love the little elf in his little block of his own with the little quilt with the house. I also love the 3D flower on red background, I would love to have a go at that!
    Thanks for the giveaway.
