it is Spring Break time at our house…
we are looking forward to a visit from Gramma!
so…remember this post about my Vintage Picnic jelly roll??
I have been sewing my Vintage Picnic strips to the Bella solid strips…
*tip* I like to cut the jelly roll strips in half…so I am only sewing strips that are about 22 inches rather than the full width…mine tend to curve when I do that…
I broke out my new Creative Grid ruler…
I will admit that I started cutting with this layout, but since I don’t like to waste much, I ended up flipping my strip unit to get the most triangles out of my unit…
so I have a pile of triangles that look like this…
and a pile that looks like this…
so now I need to sew up more strip units!
and the giveaway for the week…
spy something fun??
I just love that vintage picnic fabric!
I see some pink gingam that looks really cute!

Enjoy your visit. I spy dots and checks.
Interest, will be fun to see where this goes.
Beautiful fabrics! Love the navy fabric with the cherries and pears!
That fabric is so pretty love the pink gingham
Love em all…specially the orange & brown prints at the top…. Thanks for chance to win your Give-a-way! 🙂
Oh yes, it all looks fun! I see some great low volume pieces.
I spy the Browns and corals. Thank you for sharing your scraps!
Question for you: Where is the best place to buy rulers? Some of the shops I have checked are so expensive and I am just starting, so I don’t have many. I have some squares and rectangles, but I am hoping to get some triangle rulers soon too. Thanks!
Are the low volume scraps Carolyn Friedlander??
I spy polka dots and gingham. Have fun on spring break!
